Mandate

Bringing innovation to a traditional field like dentistry requires more than a good idea: it demands instant credibility and trust. Halo Dental Technologies, a Canadian startup, needed our help to launch a revolutionary product – the fog-free Halo Digital Mirror – into a slow-moving industry.

To introduce the product and the brand to the market, we designed a website with a modern, clean aesthetic that was engineered to elevate this new technology. From product discovery widgets to reservation flows, every element was built to maximize impact. The strategy paid off: at launch, we exceeded pre-order goals by 40%, proving the site’s essential role in converting prospects for a product that costs 350 times more than a traditional mirror.

Like many startups, Halo’s vision was clear, but its brand experience wasn’t – and selling a product that’s never been seen before isn’t easy. We first worked together to create a world-class brand and design system that evokes innovation. The logo, based on the shape of the illuminated mirror, anchors a system of vibrant colours, crisp photography and high-fidelity 3D renders that encapsulate the brand’s innovative spirit. The result: a visual language that builds credibility and desirability, positioning Halo for long-term relevance.

A pattern generator for autonomy

The shape and movement of the Halo Dental Mirror’s light inspired a custom visual language, replicating its distinctive oval shape at various angles and animating it with motion. To ensure autonomy, we built a pattern generator tool that allows our clients to create new assets seamlessly.

The biggest challenge in selling a product that didn’t yet exist was making it feel real to professionals who couldn’t see or touch it. To bring the Halo Digital Mirror to life and spotlight its key features, we deconstructed it in detail, using high-fidelity WebGL 3D to create an interactive, hyper-realistic digital replica that made the mirror the hero of the experience.

Putting the product in context

To help dentists envision how the mirror could fit into their workflow, we made a visual representation of a real treatment room environment, showing technical details so they could grasp the value instantly.

Because Halo Dental needed to confirm interest and raise capital before moving to mass production, the e-commerce experience was pivotal. As a product that includes many add-on packages and extensions, a custom user flow was created to collect all the personalized information required and build a waitlist to ensure successful production.
